Conversation about holidays

Yolla : Etha, tell me, where do you think people might go for holidays in the future ?

Etha : Hmm…holidays….in the future …..? Let me think…. Well… I think people still might go to exotic or natural places for holidays, such as Raja Ampat, Komodo Island or to have safari in Africa. People are prefer to go there than visiting museums or waterpark or malls. They are interesting places to visit, but it feels different if you have holidays out of the city. It’s more exciting.

Yolla : Mmm…OK. That’s right. What else ?

Etha : Beside nice views that come from nature, I believe that people get bored with the crowdedness of the city. They need quiet places to relax, to feel fresh air, also to have adventure with wil animals, wildlife.

Yolla : I agree with you. Though the city have great places to visit, even amusing, but it still can’t be compared with the place that come from nature or wildlife.

Etha : Yes, that’s true. And how about you ? Where do you think of the holiday places they might go in the future ?

Yolla : Mmm….I’m not sure, but probably outer space will be a great destination. So, I think people will go there to spend their holidays.

Etha : Outer space ? Well…that could be. Why do you think so ?

Yolla : As I said before, I agree with you that people might still go to natural places but for several people, I think, especially who has a lot of money, they want to experience more. Beside as you know, only astronauts or people who work for NASA or have research about space that can go there, now ordinary people like us cab have such experience.

Etha : But how ? I mean, should they go to NASA ? Do NASA provide such thing ?

Yolla : No, not NASA. There is a company which offer travel to outer space. It calls Virgin Galactic. You can make online registration if you are interested in

Etha : Wow, that’s amazing. maybe someday I can go to outer space, to take a walk on moon or mars, but for now I’m prefer to keep spend holiday on earth. By the way , are also interested in going to outer space someday? Perhaps you are bored to have holidays on earth.

Yolla : definitely I want to go there, but when will it happen ? I don’t even afford to travel on earth hehehe. Pity me

Etha : you know what ? Because we are talking about travel to outer space, I have a will to celebrate my wedding there. And you must come.

Yolla : sure I will come Etha, as long as you pay the aerospace plane’s ticket.

Etha : absolutely Yolla. Should we do the registration now ?

Yolla : of course,  we must apply immediately before it’s fully booked.

The Topic Sentence (Top Bun)

•         Very first sentence of your paragraph.

•         Always needs to be indented.

•         Tells what your paragraph is going to be about.

Finally, I love to teach because I love to be around kids.  These are just a few reasons I love to teach.

The First Detail (Lettuce) supporting ideas

•         Should not be the most important detail.

•         Needs to follow directly after the topic sentence.

•         Needs to be full of good “lettucy” details!

Chris John Fights Japanese Challenger

WBA Fly-weight Super Champion Chris John is to face Japanese boxer Shoji Kimora in a title fight at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on May 5, a spokesman of his promotor said.

Chris’s opponent is 34 years old and has an orthodox boxing style, Fathan Rangkuti, media and promotion officer of Mahkota Promotions, said here Tuesday. At the same time and venue, IBO Asia Pacific fly-weight champion Daud Yordan would be fighting Philippine boxer Ramie Laput, he said.

“Daud’s opponent is 33 years old and also has an orthodox boxing style. He descended to bantam weight,” Fathan said.

Kobe uncertain on return as Lakers begin camp

Kobe Bryant is uncertain when he’ll return to the Los Angeles Lakers after missing last season’s playoffs with a torn Achilles tendon.

Bryant is more certain about a few other things: He’ll come back strong from his injury, and the Lakers will attempt to contend for another title even without Dwight Howard.

Michael Jackson’s family blames promoters for his death

A lawyer representing the family of the late pop star Michael Jackson has told a US court that the concert promoters were responsible for his death, because they hired the doctor who gave him a fatal dose of anaesthetic.

The lawyer said executives at AEG knew the singer was in fragile health.

But he said the promoters were prepared to do whatever it took to get Michael Jackson to perform a series of concerts in London, to launch a lucrative world tour.

AEG denies the claim.

The Jackson family are seeking millions of dollars in damages from AEG for alleged negligence.

 

Hyun Bin proves his charm in Singapore press conference

Fresh out of army, South Korea’s A-list actor, Hyun Bin, is back in the game. The K-drama heartthrob was in Singapore last weekend as part of his Asia Fanmeeting Tour. With back-to-back schedules in other countries, Hyun Bin flew in past midnight and attended an open Press Conference the very next day, April 26 at Bugis+ Mall. Decked in a pin-striped blazer and slick back-combed hairstyle, Hyun Bin was a masterpiece.

Charming fans of all ages, Hyun Bin definitely has the X-Factor. But, the humble man rates himself a mere 30 out of 100 in the ‘charming appeal scale’ and threw back the question to fans. Of course, fans could name a long list of possible charms the man can have; from his smile to his intense stare and gentlemanly aura.

“I’m not as insensitive or selfish as my character in Secret Garden,” explained Hyun Bin. He may not be a romantic, planning special events but he does take extra special care of people he love.

When asked to show some cuteness, Hyun Bin was hesitant and finally posed with a peace sign for a split second before bursting in embarrassment. The man is definitely not cut-out to be cute, we’ll let him stick to being the charming suave gentleman!

It was surprising to hear his original ambition, before dreaming of becoming an actor. He once considered joining the police force! His alternative career choice if not an actor, would be a policeman then!

During the press conference, Hyun Bin hinted of an upcoming project. It has since been revealed that Hyun Bin will be acting in his first ‘sagaeuk’ (historical) drama as King Jungjo in the ‘King’s Wrath’!
